Disc Golf

Disc golf is a fun, outdoor sport that combines elements of traditional golf with frisbee throwing.

Instead of clubs and balls, players use specialized discs to complete a course in as few throws as possible.

The goal is to get the disc into a metal basket with hanging chains that help catch it.

Basics of Disc Golf:

  • Objective: Complete each hole in the fewest throws possible.

  • Equipment: Players use different types of discs (drivers, midranges, and putters), similar to golf clubs.

  • Courses: Typically played on 9- or 18-hole courses, ranging from wooded to open-field layouts.

  • Scoring: Uses the same scoring system as golf (par, birdie, bogey, etc.).

Why Play?

  • Great exercise—lots of walking and throwing.

  • Affordable—most courses are free, and discs are relatively cheap.

  • Social or solo sport—play with friends or improve your personal best.

  • Accessible—easy to learn but challenging to master.

Are you new to disc golf, or do you already play?
