Walking and cycling plus Horse Riding

Rhossili and Gower is a walker's delight with a host of routes: an almost continuous coast path, the Gower Way long distance path and miles of bridleways and paths many leading from the caravan park. We have waymarked paths to the coast, to local beaches and the Gower Way and a local O.S. map provides endless opportunities from a gentle stroll to a days hard walking. Enjoy a stroll along sandstone ridges with spectacular views or take a walk to Worm's Head when the tide is out and walk on the bed of the sea.
Sunsets over Rhossili Bay can be really stunning and acclaimed the be among the top ten best in the whole world with hues of red, orange and purple the effect can be unforgettable.
Pitton Cross site shop stocks a wide range of local books, guides and maps, to help you make the most from your visit to the Gower. Rhossili footpath map is available at the Pitton Cross Site shop for 50p.

Cycling is is a great way to see the Gower countryside. Gower roads can get busy during the height of season and there are no bicycle tracks, so don't forget your cycle helmet! Cycling is a popular activity in Gower, but remember that Gower is not flat, so you can expect at least a few testing elevations.  Beyond Gower is the Afan Forest near Neath . At Afan Forest Park you can reconnect with your bike and disconnect from everything else. Twisty, rooty, rocky and in places wildly exposed, the singletrack in Afan Forest Park is the enthusiasts dream. The trails here have been carved out of hillsides once surrounded by coal mining, but now the valley has been transformed into a bikers heaven. Afan Forest Park is home to 6 world class trails including, the ‘Penhydd’, ‘Y Wâl’, ‘White’s Level’ and '', boasting over 100 km of singletrack trails.  There's also the Afan Bike Park (launched in 2013) allowing riders to improve their riding skill and have hours of winding, swerving fun with berms and jumps. Walking and cycling map click here
